Birthing Centers
Birthing centers are homelike facilities for women who want a more natural birth experience. Birthing centers are committed to prenatal care and educating and empowering women to choose their birth experience. Birthing centers provide family-centered care for healthy women before, during and after normal pregnancy, labor and birth. Click here for a video of a birthing center experience.
Birthing centers can vary widely. Some birthing centers are free standing while other birth centers are attached to or nearby a hospital. Birth centers are staffed with midwives and often doulas as well.
